GYNAECOLOGY PATIENTS

As a gynaecologist, I also help women with many other aspects of women’s health.  These include, but are not limited to:

  • CONTRACEPTION - including in office IUD / Mirena insertion

  • PREGNANCY LOSS

  • COLPOSCOPY AND CERVICAL SCREENING

  • HEAVY MENSTRUAL BLEEDING

  • POSTMENOPAUSAL BLEEDING

  • KEY HOLE SURGERY WHERE APPROPRIATE - ovarian tumours, hysterectomy – keyhole and open laparotomy, tubal ligation, endometriosis

  • PELVIC PAIN

I also perform open abdominal procedures where appropriate.

Some procedures are performed in my office. Ally, my practice midwife, will be with you, providing a safe and loving environment for you, and she also helps me with the procedures as needed.

 

Some procedures are performed as Day Surgery at the SAN or Hornsby and Kuring-gai Hospital.  

 

Some procedures will require a short stay in hospital. This could range from 1 night to 5 nights. This all depends on what the procedure is. I will discuss with you all the details about your recovery and time off from work or school as needed.
